I wanted to honor the spirit of that original design while giving it a fresh, contemporary spin. The shirt features visual elements drawn from 11 pivotal moments in civil rights history, each represented by a unique badge I designed. Every badge includes key details that reflect the significance of the individual events, combining research with design to tell a broader story of resilience and progress.

PrincX, a Maryland-based artist, approached me to illustrate the cover for his album Delusional, reflecting his complex relationship with self-confidence—feeling both deluded and empowered by it. We chose the concept of him relaxed on a royal throne, symbolizing both his self-assurance and vulnerability. After discussing the vision, I photographed him and used those photos as reference to digitally paint the final artwork in Adobe Photoshop.
