This concept t-shirt design was inspired by a vintage graphic originally created for the National Civil Rights Museum. I wanted to honor the spirit of that original design while giving it a fresh, contemporary spin. The shirt features visual elements drawn from 11 pivotal moments in civil rights history, each represented by a unique badge I designed. Every badge includes key details that reflect the significance of the individual events, combining research with design to tell a broader story of resilience and progress.

This project allowed me to dive deep into civil rights history—transforming what I learned into something meaningful and wearable. It was both an educational and creative experience, merging cultural homage with modern design sensibilities to create a piece that is visually engaging and historically grounded.
